I Believe in Miracles

I was on call on a certain day during my residency when my team member called me to tell me that a patient I had earlier admitted, had died.
Shattered by the news, I ran up from the Accident and Emergency department. I met the family taking his corpse away, already wrapped up for burial. I touched the corpse out of sympathy. What followed was so shocking. He gave a violent cough and convulsed! We rushed him to the ward and started resuscitation.
The patient came back to life. In fact, I almost died out of happiness. He was discharged home the next day in full health.
Few months later, I attended his wedding. He has two sons now.
